Patient Review
Dr. McGrael and staff were WONDERFUL! Straightforward, to the point and a genuine great guy. We knew immediately we were in the right hands and are very thankful our NP recommended him. Do not read into the negative reviews. Working in healthcare, trust me there are two sides to every story! His office manager, his wife, is lovely and just as welcoming.

No clue
Office has no clue on insurance coverage. Let my authentication expire before my appointment. Trying to get new thru VA not Tri-West, then tells me I don’t know what I’m talking about. And after surgery Dr. refuse to give me medication I was on because he thought it was too much. I had been on it for over a year. Will never see this office again!

Unprofessional In Every Sense Of The Word
Absolutely no one in this office seems to care whatsoever, including the doctor. Incorrectly billed, insufficient health care, and mistreated by his wife/office manager.

Office manager is terrible
The office manager is rude and uncaring. No concern for the patient, cancels appointments last minute, overcharged me before my insurance had time to pay and then was belligerent when I requested my overpaid money back. Doctor is nice, needs a new office manager.

Do not use him!
Worst experience I've ever had. Did procedure in so much pain continue to call and didn't want to do anything. Went in to remove stent and refused to see me until complete bill was paid off. Hold you hostage for payment shows where priority lies. Office manager (wife) something else

prostate cancer. all labs pointed to aggressive cancer. his biopsy did not. questioned the large discrepancy. his response was unacceptable - he had no explanation and ignored the issue. i should have absolutely required a second opinion. when finally diagnosed 8 mos later, said gleason 7. had surgery at utsw. gleason was high 9 - advanced, aggressive cancer. totally changed the picture and not for good. required radiation when returned 6 mos later. would not recommend to family or friend. will not see him again.

I wish I could give 0 stars because I was given 0 attention. He had my paperwork from 7am and after 5 attempts of getting my nurses to get him to my room, he came, said “everything is a risk” and said he didn’t want to perform surgery on me. (When two doctors before him stated that was his plan). He told me the gender of our baby after we asked him to keep it secret. He mumbles, looks at you goofy, and is all around a very unprofessional doctor. He needs his license revoked for the way he spoke to me and my mom. I am 26 with a right kidney that is literally blocked and won’t drain. Yet, he had no plan for helping me. I have had chronic stones since 2013 and I am highly disappointed in his lack of bed side manner, to his patience and their family members. Texoma Medical Center staff even had some very entertaining words to say about him. I’ve seen a lot of doctors and he is by far the WORST I’ve ever seen. We will see how he likes that formal complaint against his license ????

He is the most unprofessional and disrespectful dr I’ve ever meet his bed side manners are absolutely horrible and he talks in gibberish where you don’t understand!!! I came to the hospital with a kidney stone ,it took him 38 hours to see me and then he was very rude and didn’t explaining nothing at all ,turned his back on me and said I’ll explain it tomorrow he never came back to see me and I was there 3 more days! 4 weeks later I have to have a cat scan because I have a UVJ and the kidney stone is blocked in my tube Please please find a different doctor he doesnt deserve to treat patients! I didn’t want to even give him the one star but you have to to do a review!!

Listens and works to make sure you understand what is being done and/or issues found. Staff is respectful and courteous. Might help to add water cooler for 'tests'.

I took him a bad kidney the size of a volleyball, nephrectomy was required. He sent me home slim and trim and feeling better than I've felt in a long time. Thank you again Dr. J McGrael and all your associates. CLF
