Dr. Kathy O'Connell, MD

If you are looking for an excellent gynocologist office this is the place for you! I have been going here for over 7 years now and I love the care provided and the knowledge the doctors have here. In addition, I had an unexpected emergency with one of my pregnancies last year and caught Covid in my third trimester and got extremely ill. My gynocologist Dr. Ouyang took action quickly and assisted in making sure my baby and I were properly taken care of during this scary event. With all that being said, I got induced that same day and was able to still have a safe and successful V- back because of the diligence of this office and the staff listening to my concerns and taking action quickly. I am forever grateful for Dr. O'Connell and her well trained staff!! Thank you for such excellent care over the years!

Despite having a normal pregnancy, I was repeatedly referred and pressured into extra scans and nonstress tests. I had a prior loss and I believe they were feeding off that anxiety to get as much money from me as they could. When I explained I couldn't afford them anymore, their answers to my questions became curt. Between the financial difficulty during covid and post partum depression they didn't really ask about, it became difficult to keep paying the remaining sum, that was over twice the estimated cost. Even when I did scrape up the remaining, they refused it and pursued a lawyer despite claiming to be a Christian based practice. She should probably read Exodus 22:25-27.

I took my daughter there for a septate hymen, which is an exterior hymen. It is obvious, O'Connell looked said it was normal at the second visit of three office visits. They sent my daughter for an MRI and $750 out of pocket and problem internally, my daughter never got diagnosed right. She has a sepate hymen and never got any help. She can't use tampons. I strongly recommend you go somewhere else.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. O'Connell and all of the wonderful people who work at Peninsula Women's Care. Everybody is kind and helpful and knowledgeable. Procedures are done very competently.

I have been Dr. Kathy O'Connell's patient since before she opened her own practice. She still shows the same love and compassion that brought me to her office the first time. All of the other doctors, nurses and staff have a common trait – THEY CARE. This is especially comforting to patients, like me, as I rely on them for their best medical advice. After all the faces and all the years, CARING still comes through.
