Dr. Hong performed Y90 on my father to treat HCC in mid February of 2021. Immediately after the procedure my father believed that the radiation bead moved to his stomach, and contacted Dr. Hong’s office to relay his concern. Dad repeatedly attempted to contact Dr. Hong to voice his concern. Instead of ordering an endoscopy which would have very well likely revealed that a radiation bead had in fact migrated to his stomach, Dr. Hong repeatedly told my father that a possibility that a radiation bead would have moved to his stomach was an “impossible” one, and told him that the pain was a result of his tumor shrinking. This was between his joke that he was surprised my father was still alive. Six weeks and 40 pounds lost later, the lead oncologist got involved, and an endoscope was ordered and revealed a bead moved. The guy is an idiot.
