Terrific pain specialist
I have had this doctor give me injections in my injured shoulder for pain relief. I expected it to be awful, but she did it smoothly and it went very well. I was impressed. She has given me advice on other pain issues and is helpful in that regard. I have also referred several others to her for pain issues, and they have been happy with the results. She cares about her patients, and is a knowledgeable and experienced professional. I highly recommend her.

Knee and Back fixed
I have had chronic back and knee pain for years. Dr. Hayneshenson was very detailed on her assessment. I told her I did not want to do pain meds. She helped me get off them. I did not know she is also board cert in addiction medicine as well, and does not like to give out pain meds unless absolutely needed. I am riding my bike again and loving life! First time in a long time someone actually listened to me, and I am grateful!!!

Very uncaring she belittles you.makes fun of you lies. She break your patients rights easily because of her status as top of the pain department She lies abought procedures. She manipulates your medical records. She makes false statements to other doctors and lies to them. She abuses her authority over patients to intimidate them threaten to take away their pain management to try to keep them from filleing complaints against her. You should definitely choose. Someone else for pain management there are a lot of great pain management doctors at med center that are willing to help you. If you want a chance at quality of life you definitely SHOULD NOT CHOSE HER.

We’d been told not to go to Dr Henson but since it was at UNMC decided to make an appointment. She is rude and not up-to-date on drug addiction/dependency. It’s a medical disease and by shaming the person that is coming to her to get help is shameful on her part! When a doctor explains how drug dependency started after a long illness and she says, “We as doctors were told we had to treat patients pain so it was either throw a bunch of pills at them or throw the sink at them to stop the pain, we threw the pills so I guess us doctors are sorta to blame!” So we won’t be going back as we’ve found a much kinder, caring doctor that treats the same thing with much more success. Doctors need to be direct and truthful but rude like this? Not a doctor we will go to or ever recommend.
