Most honest, dedicated.
I went in with a very odd wrist issue. Dr. Davlin very thoroughly checked it, then told me honestly that he had no answers. With his tenacity in his attempt, but failure to diagnose; led me to think way outside the box, and discover the cause. Problem solved, but wouldn’t have been if not for his sincerity, and depth of investigation of my problem. This was 13 years ago, and I still refer to him frequently in stories to my patients.

Dr. Davlin’s policies about seeing new patients are inappropriate. His staff refused to make an appt. until I provided all of the chart notes on any prior hand procedures I’d ever had, including those that had nothing to do with my need to see him for an unsuccessfully treated shattered finger. Reason: Sentara stated inaccurately I was treated by a previous orthopaedic hand surgeon. It appears Dr. Davlin is more afraid of being sued, than practing medicine, & is not interested in accuracy.

Dr. Davlin was very polite, and listened to my issues with my wrist. However I always felt rushed. Having gone four separate times for the same issue, and three cortisone shots, the pain was still there. I also had a pea sized nodule on the bottom of my middle finger on bottom side of palm, that he said needed surgery to remove. After living in pain for several years, I started taking Pure Encapsulations Magenesium Citrate. FYI, the nodule has disappeared and the pain is pretty much gone!

Very respectful, explains the injury and the options you have to treat the injury. He tells you his opinion as to which procedure he believes would be the best treatment according to the injury but allows his patients to make the choice on the option of procedure they are comfortable with having done. Very concerned about patients healing process. But over all he is the best surgeon without any doubt, buy the way my surgery was a wrist fusion. Pretty intense surgery. He has my trust ??pct??

Wouldn't even see me about my condition! What kind of doctor refuses care? Your whole job is to see patient's even if it's to give advice or guidance on your condition. Giving me a well we can't help you and he won't see you is extremely unprofessional. I'm left with a serious hand condition and zero answers! HALF STAR at best!
