Dr. Levi Deters, MD

Worked with Dr Deters for several years monitoring Prostate Cancer development. Dr Deters was always available, and diligent in tracking my situation. He informed me of the alternative possible treatments and when it came tome to take definitive action we discussed various treatment alternatives and settled on Using a recent minimally invasive development for early treatment designed to destroy the cancer with minimal surgery and damage to surrounding tissues and functional structures of teh urological system. It appears to be a good choice based on rapid recovery and functionality compared to alternative treatment options selected by my friends who have had the same type and degree of prostate cancer. I give Dr Deters a 5 star rating for his overall management of my situation and I would recommend him to others with urological problems.

Dr Deters was always professional and kind. He addresses all of my problems and helped me understand kidney disease. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Dr Deters was kind, patient and forthcoming with information about my surgery.Staff was great and very helpful.

There are two basic sides to medicine. First there is 'Judgement'. Knowing what to treat, Why and When you should treat it. Second are the skills required to preform what needs to be done, ie biopsies and surgery etc... I have found Dr Deters to be the 'Best' in both categories. Solid judgment, excellent surgical skills. No Pads or diapers 3 weeks post op and full sexual function. I would rank him at the very top of his field. In addition, he is kind with a great sense of humor. TJ

Very personable and experienced.

My experience was full of positive reinforcements. Even at my initial visit, Dr. Deter indicated that I would do great. The next visit, he again said, you will do great. Preop, again he said I would do great. Postop he again said you will do great. Guess what! I did great! Recovered quickly with no sided issues. Dr. Deter's prophecy was spot on! Thank you for one of the best medical encounters thus far.

He’s the best!

I have been seeing Dr. Deters for about 5 years. He cared for me during my episodes of bladder cancer and then a nephrectomy for my right cancerous kidney. He is fantastic. He approaches each situation, first as a teacher and then as a professional surgeon. He will constantly ask if there are additional questions during each appointment. He provides all the information and then allows me to make the final decision for further care. I feel blessed to have him as my physician.

Dr. Deters is a fantastic Urologist. I feel like he saved my life, and I am eternally grateful! He listens, puts together a plan, and truly cares about you. I thank my lucky stars every day that he was the Dr. that received the call to help me. If I could rate higher, I would.

DR. Deters has been my doctor several years. He removed my cancerous left kidney & monitors me regularly. Very honest straight forward doctor. You couldn't be in better hands. Communicates well with patients.

My visit, and care, with Dr Deters was exemplary throughout. We knew at the first visit that he was a class act. Dr. Deters is a doctor who had our best interests, and my health interests foremost in his mind and care. We were provided with complete information concerning my care and upcoming surgery. The part of our meeting where we were able to ask questions was conducted with utmost professionalism. The questions were answered without glossing over the facts of my serious disease, but in a way that left both myself, and wife, with the utmost confidence in the care we would receive.

Dr. Deters is compassionate, understanding , a GREAT LISTENER, and very personable. He is very thorough in his exams and makes you feel very comfortable. His staff and assistance are very attentive and the front desk is very efficient and friendly. I have great respect for him and would definitely recommend him. Both my Husband and I have had great results with his Doctoring.

Dr Deters seems nice but communication is very poor. Cannot get results from my tests. Cannot communicate with him and office staff is non-responsive. The staff said I could communicate my concerns via MyChart. The only communication available is refills an appointment scheduling. Very poor healthcare delivery.

I absolutely would recommend Dr Deters to anyone needing urology care. I went to him for a second opinion due to a serious diagnosis that would require the removal of my right kidney. Dr Deters couldn’t have been more professional, knowledgeable and set my mind at ease that removing that kidney was crucial to better health. This doc is compassionate, down to earth and has a great sense of humor. He Was able to schedule me in a timely manner, executed the Surgery amazingly well and even left me with the most minor of scars ( taking the kidney out my belly button!). I am convinced that trustIng Dr Deters to address my medical issue has undoubtedly added quality years to my life!

I recently had a kidney stone that became increasingly painful. I talked with Dr. Deters that afternoon. He knew how uncomfortable I was and said, “let’s get it out tomorrow”. I was so thankful that it could be addressed so quickly, and I had successful surgery the following morning. It is obvious that he loves his profession, and is a true professional in every sense of the word. I never feel like he’s rushed when he talks with me, and I have total confidence in him and in his staff. He treats me with the utmost respect and has a great bedside manner. I feel so fortunate to have found such a highly-skilled and knowledgeable urologist who also just happens to be a really good person. The entire Spokane community is fortunate to have him here, as well. Thank you, Dr. Deters!

The care given to me by Dr. Deters was exceptional. He is kind and took the time to answer all my questions. He is passionate with regards to his field and his knowledge and skills leave me KNOWING that I chose the right surgeon. Thank you so much!!

Dr. Deters is the most personable and kind hearted Doctor a person could ask for! He makes you feel like you are the only one in the world. His staff is outstanding and very good with patients. I went to him with kidney cancer and now I am cancer free! I recommend Dr. Deters and his staff to anyone who finds themselves in the situation of needing a great urologist!

Dr Deters explained carefully the results of all the tests and what these results point to, and then made a recommendation as to how to proceed. He answered all our questions and concerns and did not pressure us to decide in one way or another. Once the decision was made he then explained what would happen and what to expect. Dr Deters is a competent and skillful doctor that has true companion for the human condition without being overcome with sympathy. He listens attentively and responds appropriately. If you want to be treated with respect and dignity through the resolve of your disease process I highly recommend seeking care from Dr Deters.

Dr Deters treated me with the care and compassion I would have thought would have been reserved for his only son. Great doctor and even greater human being. Five stars is not nearly enough !
