rude and arrogant
He never took the time to review the medical records or scans before the appointment. He walked in and the first thing he said 'Why are you here'. He said that he didn't understand why I was referred to him. I kept telling him over and over that I had been diagnosed with Trigeminal and Occipital Neuralgia. I explained that pain management couldn't help me anymore and sent me to his office but he kept going off on me very rudely. Asked for my age (25) and said no I can't do anything for you. His assistant even told me that he didn't even look at my chart or the scans. He just said I wasn't a candidate for any type of surgery and walked out of the room. He didn't even try requesting any studies of his own before deciding if I was a candidate for surgery. I left in tears, the whole appointment was nothing but disappointment. He was extremely rude and raised his voice at me. He treats symptoms. If the symptoms aren’t the same as in his textbook, he won’t help.

He couldn’t seem to get over the fact that he is a neurosurgeon and come down to the level of his patient. He treats symptoms not people.

He did C2 thru C7 surgery on my 81yr old mother. He did a wonderful job. The only thing I would have liked was to talk to him after the surgery. I was in lobby and no one notified me she was done. I had to keep asking. But the nurses explained it all. First visit to office he was called into emg surgery but is nurse assistance did all we needed removing staples etc. she was Awesome. We are going back in sept hope we will meet him.

Yesterday I had an acdf surgery on my C5 to C7. Right away I felt tremendous relief with very minimal pain. I have been having pain in my neck ever since I can remember and the pain radiated all over my body. I am proud to say that I have not felt better in years. Rahimafar and his staff were excellent in all areas. This doctor went right to the source with thorough diagnosis and treatment. Can't thank him enough.

Making appointments are an issue. Discussions with him are an issue. Timely reports are an issue. Accurate evaluations are an issue. Options are an issue. His staff is an issue. There is a reason why he has horrible reviews. Reviews matter. Dont waste your time.

KERN county. As neurologist these are the most unprofessional doctors and doctor's office I have ever encountered. The doctor intentionally hurt me and did not provide the ANTIBIOTICS, ANTI-INFLAMMATORY and PAIN MEDICATIONS after surgery!!! If you think you are going to get better with these doctors get a second opinion from a different neurologist. Safe yourself from the pain and incompetence of this clinic and doctor's office. THE WORST EVER!!!

I am no stranger to the O.R. and this was by far the worst experience ever. The staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Phone calls are never returned. Dr. Rahimifar was completely absent. I had only seen him for approximately 2 minutes prior to surgery. Most of the questions I asked prior to surgery went unanswered. I never saw Dr. Rehimifar after the surgical procedure because he refused to see me. After my surgery I was improperly casted which caused a secondary injury (nerve damage) to

If I could rate him a zero I would. I had emergency brain surgery 6 months ago for brain tumor which he never did the correct scans for. He then did not remove the tumor which caused it to regrow. While he was doing the surgery he was so careless he put holes in the dura of my brain and never sewed them up and left them as holes in my brain! This allowed the spinal fluid to leak into the holes and nearly killed me 6 months later as I had to have another emergency surgery

I had both cervical and lumbar fusion by Dr Rahimifar. Both surgeries failed! I had to have a repeat lumbar fusion in Portland which was a success! Still waiting to decide to go through a repeat cervical. Dr Rahimifar's beside manner and follow up is non-existent. Do not go to this practice!

Had a disc blow out, he performed a fusion in my lower back. He is abrupt, but competent. He was referred to me by my very excellent Primary, and now, 16 years later, I've not had a single problem, and even run distance for my preferred exercise. Referred my Father to him for the same procedure, and despite being another 25 years older, he's had no problems either!

Saw this Dr for an acoustic neuroma in 2003. Not very good bed side manner. Just had another surgery for the piece of tumor this Dr left and this time the surgery was done right and all of the tumor was removed. I went through years with trigeminal neuralgia and permanent facial paralysis that he said would come back. If you have an acoustic neuroma I would recommend USC.
