I love Dr. Hadfield. He is always patient and listens pretty well for a guy. He gives good instructions and is patient with his patients. I highly recommend him.

I just completed the year-long process of repair of a torn rotator cuff (plus arthritis and bone spurs in the same shoulder). My experience was terrific. From the initial exam, imaging, final diagnosis, surgery, postoperative visits, months of physical therapy, and final assessment, things went smoothly and successfully. I am thrilled with the outcome, and couldn't be happier with Dr. Hadfield, OrthoVa techs and nurses, physical therapy department, and office staff. I wouldn't hesitate to go to them again.

I had rotator cuff surgery in October 2021. Dr Hadfield did an excellent job not only for the surgery itself but the follow up visits. He noticed I was having pain in my wrist due to using my cane with my left had and gave me a cortisone shot which helped a lot.

Dr. Hadfield was sympathetic and understanding. He gave me a cortisone shot in my right knee to help me avoid surgery.

I saw Dr. Hadfield in April, 2022 for a painful knee which was quickly becoming harder to walk. My PMD had an MRI done so I would have that done before my appointment. I had a bad experience with another Ortho (not from Ortho Virginia) he was very experienced, informative, kind and took his time examining my knee, had X rays of both knees done right there and went over all images, pointed out the tears, reviewed and explained the Radiologist’s findings and then we discussed my options. I had a very successful arthroscopic surgery a month later with and excellent recovery. Unfortunately, PT was a bit too aggressive and caused swelling and pain again so today Dr. Hadfield did a cortisone injection and although I was quite nervous due to a bad experience with the same procedure, he understood and again was kind and compassionate, talked me through it and it was all but painless!! Thank you Dr. Hadfield!! Looking forward to continuing my recovery ?????

I had a prior rotator cuff surgery in 2020. It was the best medical experience I have ever had. I never waited longer then 10 minutes and the care given to me during the entire process was extraordinary. Dr Hadfield and his staff kept me informed and it’s easy to see they really care about their patients.

If you have shoulder or knee issues, Dr. Hadfield is the one to see! Highly recommend!

Dr. Hadfield and his staff at Ortho VA are very responsive to their patients needs. My last appointment with Dr. Hadfield was punctual and he was able to identify the issue with my right knee quickly. With quick steroid shot in my knee I was out of his office in no time. My pain was resolved to my full satisfaction.

I have used Dr. Hadfield in the past for knee problems and been very happy with the results. Now I have a shoulder problem and my primary care doctor reminded me he also does shoulders. I am sure he will again make me better. Knees or shoulders you can’t go wrong with Dr. Hadfield.
