Just had my first visit with Dr. McCoy, his staff was friendly and quick. The doctor was in to see me within 5 minutes. My visit was for a persistent chest cough/cold. After a quick exam he explained the most likely causes and offered a referral for a chest x-ray (the most aggressive course of action) at my discretion, and a prescription for antibiotics. Leaving the direction of my care up to me with his guidance, which I appreciated. Dr. McCoy was friendly attentive and knowledgable.

Dr. Matt McCoy has been our family physician since the early 1990’s. He is intelligent, informed, perceptive and compassionate. He is a wonderful listener. We have always received excellent care from him. He has always been willing to give us extra time when he saw that we needed it, and he is very perceptive in that respect. When we needed specialists Dr. McCoy has referred us to top-notch physicians. His staff has always been smart, efficient, caring and friendly. We love Avenue

I saw Dr. McCoy for several years before moving out of state. He was my favorite doctor, and I have been to many over the years. He listens, is very knowledgeable, and relates in friendly, yet professional way. He will definitely be my Primary Care Physician again when I move back to Denver.

The doctor seems to lack a sense of critical thinking and falls into the generic explanations for problems. Rather than exploring modern medical findings, he tends to focus on what applies to the average person. Seems to be stuck in the past and does not keep up with modern medicine or science. He misdiagnosed me without any implication that he excercised curiosity and investigated my problem thoroughly. There is a lack of genuine empathy and care. Also, doctor has always been +30 late.
