Experienced Doctor - Highly Recommend!
Knowledgeable, experienced and goes above and beyond for the patient. Highly Recommend! From the Arizona Daily Star: On Sept. 8, the emergency room of Santa Cruz Valley Regional Hospital received a patient with life-threatening internal bleeding, the Arizona Daily Star reported. The medical staff started reaching out to all hospitals in Tucson and Phoenix, and they all refused to accept a transfer.Dr. Sylvain Sidi, a Tucson-based gastroenterologist, drove to Green Valley to perform surgery and saved the patient's life. He credited the hospital staff for not giving up and calling him directly.“This is medicine at its best — for the community, for the patient who needs it and reaching out and crossing all the barriers,” Sidi said to Green Valley News. ...Arizonacentral.com

Competent and earnest
I went to Doctor Sidi for a follow up on a previous colonoscopy where a polyp was found. Doctor Sidi is very informed , cites the latest researches and continues to develop his expertise in his domain. He is also very earnest; no sugar coating! But he explains well what he will do the risks. He came to see me after the procedure and took his time to explain what he did, even if he had other procedures the same day. He also takes an holistic approach for preventive healthcare . He reminds me how healthcare was and should be. Always smiling, his own sense of humor. Not the regular doctor! But a good one.

Never! Beware!
Never trust your loved one's care to this doctor. Rude. Inappropriate. Nearly killed my wife. No exaggeration.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Sidi is an excellent doctor. He is a straightforward, no-nonsense doctor but he is also caring, compassionate, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. I live in Las Vegas and my 84 year old mom lives in Tucson. She went into the hospital with severe itching, jaundice, and weight loss, only to be prematurely discharged. Dr. Sidi called us the next morning and expressed the urgency of getting my mom in to see him asap. He said he would clear his schedule to get her in. The following week, he performed a procedure (ERCP) where he was able to clear the bile duct by placing a stent. Within a week, my mom started feeling better. Dr. Sidi answered every text and call- no doctor has ever done that! He's amazing. His knowledge, expertise and urgency in addressing my mom's illness is what saved her. I honestly believe the outcome would have been far worse had we gone to someone else. We are eternally grateful to him and his staff. You won't find a better doctor. Thank you Dr. Sidi!

Should not be in practice anymore.
He, was the most condescending, rude and overly bias person pretending to be a Dr. He made assumptions about lifestyle and eating habits without asking any questions. He was way off on both. He did not discuss any diagnosis and pushed an unnecessary colonoscopy that was not needed. (Yes, this was confirmed from another GI physician.) DO NOT SEE SYLVAIN SIDI. Reschedule with a more competent and professional Dr.

They overbook & rush you in & out of the appointment. The waiting room was the most dangerously crowded i've seen in lockdown. He never stops talking & it was only possible to get in some questions by being very verbally assertive. He completely ignored multiple things I said. He ignored my questions about cancer after the procedure--i guess because he didn't bother to read the lab tech's notes. I fired him & filed a complaint. Biggest jerk I've had for an MD in two decades.

Does not even deserve a star but people need to know about this Doctor!! I Will never go back !! I have never met a doctor that was so inconsiderate and made me feel so ashamed about myself when he told me I was “FAT” and looking at my stomach and asking how much weight have I gain and why I cant I stop eating and then he looks at me again and says is it Mexican food is that why you can’t stop! And then he states that he will have to order a alter sound for my stomach because he know that he won’t be able to see anything because I am a “big” girl and there will be lots of fat fiber !! . I totally lost it there ! I walked right out of his office and told him he was mean and I didn’t like him!!. I have never cried so much! Please don’t go to this Doctor!! 11/24/2020

Dr Sidi is a real asset to our community and real doctor! I had some serious issues and following his direction, the issues resolved. He may be strict in his approach, but; listen and follow his instruction as he is experienced and likely seen it all.

I love Dr. Sidi. He has been so thorough with finding the problems that I had suffered from for almost a year. I supposedly had seen one of Tucson’s best GI’s but the only time I actually saw the doctor himself was for an endoscopy and colonoscopy otherwise my office visits were with a nurse practitioner? A office worker? Maybe the janitor? But Dr. Sidi has seen me for every appointment, redid my endoscopy and colonoscopy, blood work, etc... and he figured me out! I am now on a medication that actually works! My stomach pains are gone. My IBS is under control and it’s all because he took the time to really listen to me. The other doctor who I will not mention said there was nothing more he could do for me unless I wanted to go to some compound in Canada. CANADA? Really? We do have excellent hospitals in the USA. Thank you Dr. Sidi! See you at my next follow up.

My experience with Dr Sidi was good. However, his office staff is questionable. Dr Sidi ordered some blood tests of which two tests were not covered by Medicare and therefore Tricare could not cover those either. When I contacted them, they said that the MA would get back to me. That did not happen. A week later I called and they said that they would send the information to the lab. A few weeks later, the lab still did not have the information. When I called Dr Siti's office again, they had sent my chart to the wrong lab. Finally, when the lab received the information, it was just my chart with no explanation of why I needed the blood tests. I called them again today asking if I could get a memo from Dr Sidi as to the reason for the tests, I was informed that I would need to contact the billing department. I am unable to get a justification for the lab tests thereby forcing me to pay over $125 for two blood tests.

If your looking for a respectful, caring, professional physician who listens to your concerns and communicates options for treatment, Dr. Sylvain Sidi is not the physician for you. If your looking for a direct, disrespectful, condescending, physician who displays arrogance and a total disregard for your concerns, Dr. Sylvain Sidi will meet your expectations . In reading the reviews rated one star It looks like everyone has covered everything I experienced on my first and only visit. I have never been spoken to in such a disrespectful way by a physician, and am truly amazed that Dr. Sylvain Sidi remains in business. Patients deserve better.

Excellent! I have worked for 32 years in the medical profession and I know a good DR. or a not so good DR. after five minutes of dialogue with the medical professional I am dealing with. Dr Sidi's office is clean and well laid out.. The staff Renee, Daune and Lupe are caring courteous and truly genuine with there patient care. So if you.. want a Doctor that coddles you and lies to you so your feelings ar not hurt don't see him! If you want the best of the best than get in line.. What I love most of Dr. Sidi that he tells it as it is NO SUGAR Coating that's what you need and want from your medical provider THE TRUTH and sometimes the truth hurt's but it beets being DEAD because your DR. did not want to hurt your feelings! Like I said 32 years working in health care and DR. Sidi and staff get A+

Dr.Sidi was running late and was in a great hurry. He did not explain medication ordered or procedures ordered. These are things that I find very important. He also didn't make eye contact and I was mostly speaking to the back of his head as he was documenting info.

Rude, short, and unpleasant. Recommended every expensive procedure and test under the sun without even looking at my charts (which were never sent over from my last doctor even though I called ahead to make sure they got them in advance). The doctor I saw after him confirmed that he was way off the mark and had no idea what he was talking about. I also had to wait for 2 hours in a sweltering waiting room with no ventilation and no AC (talk about a health risk). This guy is a total quack and pr
