GREATEST SPECIALIST EVER
I started seeing Dr. Sokol in the late 1980’s and I continued seeing him until I moved I 2003. He was and still in my opinion the best Dr. for South of The Border I ever had. No doctor can compare as far as personality, like ability and professionalism. He does one procedure that I have asked other doctors about and they never heard of. I wish I lived in LA so I could continue to use him as a Doctor. I continue to sing his praises.

I’ve been seeing Dr Sokol for over thirty years and he not only takes great care of a family weakness I inherited regularly but he observes and advises regarding my overall health wisely, I’m 76 in Feb and commuting for my annual office visit to LA from North Lake Tahoe because I trust him.

It was poor, based on both the financial and procedural aspects of the visit. When I made the appointment, I was asked who my insurance carrier was. I provided it, and the person made the appointment. A week later a bill shows up for $500. When I called and asked why my insurance wasn't billed, they stated, "We don't take your insurance." They should have said this when they asked which insurance I had. My second issue is with the procedure performed. Most doctors will look at you, then tell you what they find, and tell you what they will do to fix it. Dr. Sokol did not do that, he found a problem and began to administer an injection, telling me what he was doing. I had no opportunity to accept or decline his treatment, and in the end, I still have the same condition I had upon my initial visit. I like Dr. Sokol, he has a great bedside manner, but he needs to slow down and allow patients to choose.

Dr. Sokol is an absolute saint. My first impression of his staff was that they were a friendly well oiled machine. Receptionist was friendly and fast. His sweet nurse Juan let me know exactly what I could expect. Dr. Sokol has a kind and gentle approach that put me at ease immediately. He was very thorough and patient with me, answering all of my questions and providing me with everything I needed to know to move onto my next step in my health plan.

Dr. Sokol is a caring, thoughtful and funny doctor. I love that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He called the night of prep, to see how I was. I’ve had 5 colonoscopies and no Doctor has ever done that. His staff is fabulous, and the Surgical Center he uses is first rate. No one enjoys this procedure, but at least I finally found a doctor that I will stick with
