Expertise and Level of Care Above all Expectations
From the very first visit it was obvious Dr. Hahn was at the top of his field of expertise. He did a careful and thorough examination and asked appropriate questions to help him better understand how detrimentally my rapid onset hearing loss had affected the quality of my life and ability to feel safe. I have always been a very independent woman and deafness due to a medical condition had negatively affected my life in every possible way. He immediately explained a procedure called Tympanoplasty Mastoidectomy to reconstruct new eardrums using harvested cartiledge and tissue from my own body and mastoidectomy to remove areas damaged by inflammation. At my first visit hearing tests showed me to be legally deaf. Seven months after the first procedure done Dec 2023 tests on my left ear showed above 50% improvement in hearing and continues to improve 11 months later. Had same procedure done on my right ear Oct 2024. Had first post-op visit Nov 13 and am doing great. I will hear again!!!

Amazing Doctor
I have had serious ear issues due to scuba diving, and loud noise while in the Navy. Dr. Hahn has done 3 surgeries on my ear, and each time the recovery was just as he described. He is kind, and takes time to listen to you. I have recommended 3 of my friends to this great doctor. His staff is very friendly and helpful.I beleive that Dr. Hahn is a brilliant and top trained doctor.

My recent appointment at Dallas Ear Institute went very well and Leslie, Audiologist did an excellent job with my ear evaluation to see if I qualified for a cochlear implant. Dr Hahn is so calm and compassionate and I feel completely confident with his instructions for my care. I appreciate Mackenzie, Dr of Audiology information regarding my present hearing aides and that they could be reprogrammed for better hearing. This has helped tremendously. The entire office staff is always so nice and I appreciate that too. I am so happy my son found this medical office and Dr Hahn for me to see. I sincerely thank you Dr Hahn for all your care You Are The Best !

Review of Visit to office of Dr Hahn
I was having problems with ear wax and potential loss of hearing due to other conditions. Dr Hahn found the problem very quickly and informed me of the results of tests that were performed and what to do to correct the problem. He was very personable and very professional. He is a credit to the Dallas Ear Institute , Medical City , and the Medical Profession. His staff was equally personable , professional and very helpful. I recommend his office for anyone with medical ear problems.

Help me to heal of a serious ear problem
Dr. Yoav Hahn has been my ENT doctor since 2014. In that year, he performed a tympanoplasty on both ears, with which I was able to overcome and heal from two perforations that I had in my ears and that caused recurrent infections.

Dr. Hahn and staff handled my situation with care, professionalism, and understanding waiting approval for surgery following a serious bout with pneumonia. Dr. Hahn explained the procedure in a way I felt comfortable. Even Billing was pleasant! I appreciated the kindness during a turbulent 6 months. THANK YOU!

We’ve had a lot of visits with this good doctor. He’s a gentle healer. If you or a loved one has a complicated ear problem (the experience we had with Dr. Hanh has been for ears ) consider this doctor. He’s conservative with treatment and patient and allows the body time to heal (but he checked in at reasonable intervals.) zero post operation infections, mild pain well controlled and good results. It’s all you can ask for with very sensitive, rare and complicated surgery. While he treated my 66 year old husband (for several years now!) as the mother of four, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask him to examine a pediatric patient (whether the scope of his practice includes children, I don’t know). If you have a child that needs a lot of doctors you have probably had the experience of some doctors that scare some children. I doubt Dr. Hahn would.

Not good. Arrived to surgery 4 1/2 hours late. I was in pre-op all that time waiting to have brain surgery. When I asked him about it, he said there was a scheduling misunderstanding. He didn’t seem to care at all. I was discharged without any instructions or information regarding care or when to follow up. I tried emailing him several times and all went unanswered. Lacks empathy and compassion. At follow up appointment, it was obvious he was in a rush to get my appointment over and out of the exam room as quickly as possible.

I had a tumor in my left ear with a damaged eardrum. The tumor had grown into the small bone which was restricting my hearing. I live in Tyler, Texas which is a medical community, and there wasn’t a Doctor in the area who could treat my condition. I was referred to Dr. Yoav Hahn. Dr Hahn is absolutely amazing. He is very easy to talk to, and is honest and direct. He explained the whole situation in detail and then explained his recommendations. He thought that I might need a second surgery to replace one of the small bones, but said that he would try to clean it out while removing the tumor and reconstructing the eardrum. I felt very confident in him after reading his Bio. I was even more confident after meeting with him. I truly believe that this Doctor has a God given gift. He was able to do everything in one surgery as he had hoped. I can’t say enough about this man. I can only say to anybody who has hearing problems of any sort, that you will not find a better Dr. He is amazin!

Anyways, when I saw Dr. Hahn, wife and I brought ALL this frustration with us. Dr. Hahn heard our outcry and could see that we were tired of dealing with this. He didn't dismiss us! He listened! He validated our concerns of waiting! He immediately informed us of what to do and by October 29, 2019 I was on the operating table!!! After waiting months, I was getting operated on two weeks after seeing him!! His assistant Maegan was put into action and what a powerhouse she is! She coordinated Dr. Hahn, Dr. Coimbra, my insurance, Baylor hospital, and everything else in the background that we don't even get to see! She did most, if not all, of the coordinating so that I didn't need to worry about anything at all. Just to show up to my appointments and get it done. It's insane what she can accomplish! Dr. Hahn is the opetimamy of a 'family' doctor. He made us feel so COMFORTABLE. Thank you ulimately to Dr. Coimbra and Dr. Hahn for their professionalism and expert knowledge in this.

Dr. Hahn is the best! Very patient and explains the procedure before it's done. He's been a wonderful doctor to my 13 year old daughter. He has done multiple procedures on her and has helped her understand each procedure as well as what comes next. I would gladly recommend him to anyone! Never a long wait at his office either!
