Biography: Joel Sternbach, MD, is a board-certified thoracic surgeon specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of benign and malignant conditions of the lung, esophagus, mediastinum, pleura and chest wall. He offers surgical solutions for esophageal motility disorders and reflux disease (GERD), and performs robotic and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).

Biography: Damon Pierce, MD, has expertise in vascular and endovascular surgery, peripheral vascular disease, venous disease and varicose vein treatment. He also has expertise in carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, complex abdominal and thoracic aneurysms, TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) and carotid stent placement, and wound care.Dr. Pierce considers communicating effectively - helping patients understand their problem and how it can be fixed - to be one of the most important aspects of being a doctor. Dr. Saffari is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for his patients by providing nurturing, compassionate care using the most effective, innovative surgical and medical treatments possible. Dr. Saffari is a diplomat of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, an affiliate investigator for the Gynecologic Oncology Group and a member of the Pierce County Medical Society.
