Biography: For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a doctor. I always loved both math and science in school, so studying medicine was a logical fit. When I learned more about the ways the ears, nose and throat work together, it fascinated me and led me to choosing otolaryngology as my specialty. \n With every patient I see, I strive to work with them to understand and address their concerns. I start by listening to their issues, understanding their current health and answering any questions they have. Then, I give treatment choices; I see my role as guiding patients to the best treatment plan for them, not dictating what treatment plan they should choose. \n Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife. Together, we have four sons. I love relaxing at the coast whenever I get a chance, and gardening in my own yard is a hobby I pursue whenever I do not have time to get away.

Care Philosophy: Dr. McClelland and his wife moved down to the Charlotte NC area to begin a new ENT practice focusing more on quality of care, patient experience, and clear communications with referring doctors and patients. He continues to enjoy seeing, treating, and educating patients. Specialty: General Otolaryngology with a particular interest in rhinology (the treatment of nasal and sinus disorders). I have a particular interest, clinically, in minimally invasive nasal and sinus surgery designed to give lasting relief of chronic nasal congestion, stuffy nose, and chronic or recurring sinus infections. Our group has always prided itself on being technologically advanced and ahead of the curve in terms of providing care in the most patient-friendly and safest ways possible.
