Biography: Ken Maynard, III, MD, is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with Coastal New Hampshire Neurosurgeons in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. He then completed an internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville in the Department of General Surgery and residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in the Department of Neurological Surgery. Following his residency, he fulfilled a fellowship in complex spine at Brown University in the Department of Neurosurgical Surgery in Providence, Rhode Island. Dr. Maynard also earned a Bachelor of Arts in both Philosophy as well as Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University.Dr. Maynard has extensive training in complex spine surgery, providing patients with the most advanced surgical techniques available. He is a resident member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal publications and has presented award-winning research related to the field of neurosurgery.When not seeing patients, Dr. Maynard enjoys traveling with his wife. He also enjoys cooking and going on long walks with his wife and their golden retriever.
