Biography: Dr. He is an award-winning, board-certified Johns Hopkins and Harvard trained anesthesiologist and interventional pain specialist A Texas native, she earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine followed by Anesthesiology residency training at Johns Hopkins. Dr. He further specialized and completed a Pain Fellowship at Harvard's Brigham and Women's Hospital, which has been recognized as the Top Pain Management Fellowship in the Nation. Throughout her training, Dr. He has been fortunate to learn from leaders in the field. While at Harvard, she also studied novel treatments to better manage knee pain with the goal of delaying and avoiding surgery.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Phong Q. Le is subspecialty certified in pain medicine and a board certified anesthesiology physician. Using a unique combination of his pursuit for excellence, coupled with a compassionate bedside manner, Dr. Le can help people relieve their pain and regain their lives. Dr. Le began his extensive medical training at the University of North Texas Health Science Center " Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Le continued his residency training in Anesthesiology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and completed a Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at New York Medical College " St Vincent™s Medical Center. Dr. Le is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Spinal Interventional Society, and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. During his spare time, Dr. Le spends time with his wife and son, and is an avid sports fan and dog lover.

Biography: Dr. Leahy believes in taking a conservative approach to treating the spine. In my practice, surgical treatment of spinal disorders is always a last resort. It is only after exhaustive conservative efforts have been made that surgery is appropriate. I feel that this is the safest approach to treating the spine and allows for the best surgical outcomes.Dr. Leahy is a strong proponent of minimally invasive surgical techniques, including nonfusion procedures such as artificial disc replacement and adult stem cell therapy. He is proficient in all of the most current surgical techniques in the treatment of spinal disorders. He incorporates these treatment alternatives into his practice whenever possible. Every patient is different and will require an individualized treatment plan, Dr. Leahy says. The next step is the physical exam to identify signs of injury or pain. Then, I seek to provide patients with the information necessary to make informed decisions about their treatment. Whether reviewing anatomic models of the shoulder, hip, or knee to understand the condition or analyzing x-rays, CT scans, or MRIs, I feel that knowledgeable patients will make the best decisions about their own treatment. We will review realistic expectations of each treatment option. It is important that each treatment plan be individualized for each patients goals and expectations, and I will help and support your decisions during the process.

Biography: Dr. Hosun Hwang, MD is a Spine Surgeon who practices in Houston, TX. Dr. Hosun Hwang, MD is affiliated with Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, Houston Methodist and Houston Methodist West Hospital.

While Dr. Tanous does specialize in surgical treatment of hip and knee problems, he includes a comprehensive patient conservative care model with surgery reserved for those whose symptoms don't resolve with less invasive methods

Silva, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally-invasive and degenerative spine surgery; and adult deformity and scoliosis surgery at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. Dr. Silva has trained at some of the nation's premier medical institutions. He earned his medical degree at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine in La Jolla, California. He completed a general surgical internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts and was a visiting neurology resident at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Silva completed his neurosurgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in San Bernardino, California, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Silva completed an Adult Scoliosis and Deformity Spine Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois; a Pediatric Scoliosis and Deformity Spine Fellowship at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and an Advanced Pediatric and Adult Spinal Deformity Fellowship at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Silva has published numerous peer-reviewed medical journal articles, textbook chapters and societal papers. In his leisure time, he enjoys running, swimming, playing tennis and traveling.
