Care Philosophy: My training includes dual board certification in general and vascular surgery and an additional one year training in open heart surgery. After completion of a general surgery residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, I received the nationally renowned Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for teaching and humanism. I have also received the distinguished classification of fellow of American college of surgeons (FACS).Clinically my practice focuses on advanced minimally invasive techniques to treat patients with aortic and carotid disease. I also specializes in treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and non-healing wounds due to lack of blood flow known as critical limb ischemia. I have developed the Lower Extremity Amputation Prevention Symposium (LEAPS) conference is held annually at Staten Island University Hospital. I work closely with the podiatry and plastic surgeons to offer the most advance treatment to patients suffering from non-heling wounds. I have developed a unique surgical protocol (Singh- Cooper protocol) for surgical management of lymphedema. Other unique interests of mine include endovascular repair of complex aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease management and surgical treatment of refractory epilepsy with the use of a vagal nerve stimulator (VNS). I am currently involved in several clinical national trials and have obtained grants for educational purposes.

Biography: Dr. Iribarne graduated with his Bachelor's degree summa cum laude from Yale University and then earned his Medical degree at Havard University. He completed his general surgery training at Columbia University and then followed with his Cardiothoracic surgery training at Duke University that included an additional advanced fellowship in aortic and endovascular surgery. Dr. Iribarne has also completed post-doctoral research fellowships in NIH Cardiothoracic Surgical Trials Network Data Coordinating Center at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Cardiac Surgery Research Laboratory at Columbia University Medical Center. He also holds a Masters degree in Biostatistics from Columbia University - Mailman School of Public Health.Clinically, Dr. Iribarne has interest and experience in performing all types of adult cardiac surgery including coronary artery bypass, aortic and mitral valve replacement and repair, aortic aneurysm surgery (including endovascular repair with TEVAR) and catheter-based structural heart procedures (TAVR and TEER).



Care Philosophy: Dr. Schor is the Director of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital and an Associate Professor of Surgery at Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in both Vascular and General Surgery. He completed his general surgical training at New York University and completed his vascular training at Rutgers/ New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Schor has participated in both clinical and basic science research that has been presented at local and national scientific meetings. He has a special interest in endovascular treatments of aortic aneurysm, peripheral vascular disease and venous disorders.Dr. Schor is co-director of the Staten Island University Hospital Aortic Center. The Aortic Center is a multi-specialty center for treatment of aortic pathology. He performed the first fully percutaneous treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysm on Staten Island in 2010. Dr. Schor also performed the first Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) procedure on Staten Island for the treatment of carotid artery disease. Dr. Schor is interested in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease, venous disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm. Dr. Schor is a member of Society of Vascular Surgery, Eastern Vascular Society, American Venous Forum, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has a research interest in the surgical management of DVT and treatment of PVD. Dr. Schor is a principal investigator for a number of National Institute of Health (NIH) sponsored clinical research trials, and his research has been presented at both local and national meetings.
