Biography: Dr. Stephanian is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General and Vascular Surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in 1987, and his surgical training under the tutelage of the renowned academic surgeon John S. Najarian, M.D. at the University of Minnesota in 1993. He completed his additional qualifications in Vascular Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center, and has been in private practice in Dallas since 1994. In 2001, he received an executive M.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University. Biography: Joe K. Wells, III, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a native Texan originally from Austin. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he also completed his residency in general surgery. He completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He has practiced with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons since 2000.Dr. Wells is board-certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He currently serves as Surgery Department Chair at the Heart Hospital of Austin. Dr. Wells specializes in carotid and lower extremity revascularization as well as the minimally invasive treatment of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections. Biography: Dr. Neil Desai, D.O., is a vascular surgeon and joined HCA Houston Healthcare helping found Gulf Coast Vascular in August of 2020. Dr. Desai received his Bachelors of Science in both Mathematics and Economics. He began his medical studies at Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine earning his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. Biography: James C. Hayhurst is a native Texan, originally from Amarillo. He earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina and his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. Upon completion of his internship and General Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee, he remained at the University of Tennessee for his fellowship in Vascular Surgery. He is board certified in both General and Vascular Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Following completion of his training, Dr. Hayhurst returned to his hometown of Amarillo where he served the community for 14 years. In 2011, he relocated to Dallas to be near his wife's family. He specializes in all aspects of vascular care for his patients, which includes non-operative/medical, open surgical and endo-vascular treatment of all vascular conditions. Dr. Hayhurst has been happily married to Debbie since 1988. They have 4 wonderful children and in his free time, enjoys being outdoors, fly fishing, skiing, cross fit, gardening and playing with his dog Ruby. He is also an avid musician and a member of a local bluegrass band.

Biography: Scott A. Seidel, M.D., F.A.C.S., R.V.T., is a native Texan who was born in Houston. After graduating from Texas A&M University, he earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his general surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, his vascular surgery fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center and his endovascular fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center in 2001. Biography: Kristofer Charlton-Ouw graduated from Vassar College in New York with a B.A. in History. After a brief career in the Netherlands working with a medical device company, he pursued his M.D. at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University Medical Center in New York City where he served as the Administrative Chief Resident. He was a research fellow in cardiovascular surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital. After completing his clinical fellowship in vascular surgery at Memorial Hermann Hospital and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, he continued on as a faculty member. As of September 2020, he will be Professor in the UT Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. He was Program Director for the UT Vascular Surgery Fellowship and Integrated Residency and Director of the Memorial Herman Heart and Vascular Institute's Vascular Ultrasound Laboratory. He is interested in clinical trials to improve evidence-based Practice, authored or co-authored over 100 journal manuscripts, book chapters, and reviews, and is the principle investigator of several sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials.His clinical and research interests include aortic aneurysm and dissection, prosthetic graft infection, hemodialysis access, peripheral arterial disease, and postoperative pain control. Dr. Charlton-Ouw joined HCA Houston Healthcare and helped found Gulf Coast Vascular in August of 2020. Dr. Charlton-Ouw welcomes new patients and referrals. After completing his residency in general surgery at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center, Dr. Mendelsberg spent two years at the University of Oklahoma pursuing his fellowship in vascular surgery.
