Dr. Freyaldenhoven calls the Midwest her home. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has lived in Kansas City for the last 20 years. Dr. Freyaldenhoven attended the University of Kansas. She obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology and was part of the University Honors program. She then attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma and was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha society indicating top 10 percentile of her graduating class.Dr. Freyaldenhoven moved to Kansas City in 2000 and completed her internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical School. She then began working in Kansas City at her current practice. She is board certified in general surgery with the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.Dr. Freyaldenhoven also enjoys being a mom to two children and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.

I encourage patients to make informed decisions about their own health by asking questions so that we can proceed with the best possible treatment. Dr. Frydenlund strives to educate each patient to the best of his ability about their disease process and what options they have for treatment. He believes in individualized care plans and that by making sure every patient knows what to expect before surgery he can improve recovery and reduce suffering.

My passion is hip and knee replacement surgery to allow patients to return to a good quality of life. I perform partial knee replacements, total knee replacements and hip replacement surgery with minimally invasive techniques including the minimally invasive (ASI-anterior supine intramuscular) direct anterior approach to the hip.
