Dr Shilt is a wonderful and caring surgeon. He diagnosed my son with a bone tumor and performed the surgery to remove it. From our initial appointment, to pre-op and on the day of surgery, Dr Shilt has been very patient, compassionate and professional. He is an expert in his field without the accompanying ego. And he was great with my son. I highly recommend him to anyone needing his services.

Dr. Shilt is incredible! My son was seen by Dr. Shilt for a broken collarbone. The extent of the injury was more than we were originally told in the ER. Dr. Shilt explained everything to me in great detail and that surgery was our best option. He had a great bed side manner with my teenager in the hospital and in his office. We are so thankful for the skilled hands of Dr. Shilt, PA Melisa Moncure, and the entire staff at Texas Childrens Hospital, The Woodlands.

Arrogant did not listen to my concerns about my child. He didn't even give us the time of day to help my daughter and told us that he doesn't know why we got referred to him in the first place. Questioned why I brought my daughter to see him. Stated There where no x-rays on file and didn't know how to approach or treat my daughter. Horrible bedside manners, rude and very much prejudice. I would never recommend this provider ever.

Saw Dr. Shilt yesterday with my 3 year old for an incidental finding. Wait time was 40min before Dr. came in, he may had only been in the room for 10min because of his findings, but I will say he was very attentive and so nice to my son. In just those minutes he made me feel reassured that nothing was wrong with my son, and I know my son felt very comfortable with him. If I were to ever need an ortho specialist, I will definitely be coming to him! He was just absolutely great!!

Very disappointed. Did not explain my sons condition in terms I could understand and appeared irritated when I asked for clarification. He is arrogant and rude and spent maybe 7 minutes in the room with us after we waited for close to an hour. First visit and will be our last.

Rude. Arrogant. Poor bedside. Disrespectful. Uncaring. Patronizing. Spoke in a way that was hard to understand. After declining my request for help or even any additional resources and bringing me to tears, stood up, not so much as a handshake, and left me crying in the examination room. Worst experience with any doctor to date. Can not believe the waste of fine. Would never recommend anyone to this doctor who doesn't seem to care even a little about his clients.... Nonono, customers.

Extremely poor bedside manner. I had this appointment bumped several times, and I was really hoping to start working on my issue. Instead this doctor told me he had no hope for me, and offered no solution or direction to go from here whatsoever. I know I may be confined to a chair, but I'm willing to work, and go through adversity to try and improve my situation any way I can. He acted like my only solution was to take more pain killers and to just accept that I would continue to get worse.
