Worst Experience of My Life
This guy was supposed to remove my kidney with a simple laparoscopic surgery. One day in the hospital and then go home. Ten days later I was still in the hospital and in pain. My kidney had attached itself to a vein, which he determined when he went in. Instead of stopping the procedure because it was too complicated he decided to forge ahead. I was left with a partial kidney that is still functioning, with fluid accumulating in my body and nowhere to go. Very painful. And, when I asked him why I have this abdominal distention his response was “I don’t know”! It turns out that it was an incisional hernia. He does incisions for a living, but doesn’t know what an incisional hernia looks like or its symptoms. Another doctor in the same practice diagnosed it as soon as I lifted my shirt to show him the distention. His advice was to go to USC and have the kidney removed and hernia repaired. This kidney surgery did enormous damage to me. Would not recommend this doctor.

Cystoscope exam
Dr. Wilson did not use numbing jell prior to procedure. It was very painful and .l urinated blood after the procedure and the following day. I had painful urination and passed blood for two days. I called his office to report this and he did not respond.

He is very patient and explains in detail the procedure. I had a massive kidney stone and had a operation for 5 hours. I am currently fine and have had no issues.

I waited 2 months to get in with severe testicle pain from abuse. I know they need to come out for me to have any life. Wilson and his colleague acted as if i committed a crime asking for removal. He would not explain my ultrasound and left me hanging as I was told to leave as the cold i caught could get him sick. No follow up just left me in tears after a terrible life that can bw fixed if he would have listened to my past and the 12 doctors i currently see. This hurt. Ashworth

Dr. Wilson is very kind and compassionate - very personable. He combines his excellent bedside manner with undeniable knowledge and talent in the field of Urology. From my experience, he's a great urologist. Dr. Wilson's staff, especially Martha, are empathetic and very accommodating. They create a very positive environment.

As other reviews say, it is evident Dr. Wilson cares deeply for his patients. You can tell that he's not the type of Doctor to simply clock out and leave his cases at the door. The only issue, if you can even call it that, is that sometimes the explanation of medical terminology to patients is askew. Again, not that big of a problem. Just may be difficult for those not in the medical field to follow his explanations. Overall, excellent, respected physician.

I went to him after leaving other urologist - was not satisfied with prior doctor's diagnosis and prognosis. Dr. Wilson corrected all the misdiagnoses, immediately did surgery, saved my kidney in the process. I would never go to any other urologist but him. He's very young but excels in knowledge and skill; also has a lot of compassion for the patient - very concerned for patient's well being and assures patient of correct diagnosis, prognosis, and calms all anxiety. Outstanding doctor!
