I saw Dr. Doppelt for the Independent Medical Examination in November 2024. This exam was scheduled by my Workers Compensation company after a year since the day of my injury. I have a huge trauma (my own doctor's words) of my shoulder and elbow (I fell and broke them at once). The exam lasted an hour, mostly were questions. Than the doctor asked to bend different ways, bring my hands up, back and forward - that was it. Less than 5 min. I gave him CDs to take a look at my X-rays. He said he will look at home as he does not have a computer in the office (!!!) to look now . Meanwhile, he promised to return my CDs in case I need to see my doctors in the future. Three months past - no CDs. I called the office - they did not give me any definite asnwer. Needless to say his report came with a 'denial of additional physical therapy etc.' BTW, I am a piano player, and PT is a must for successful recovery. He does not seem to be a pro. Stay away from him

Very negative. Back in 1995 I saw Dr. Dopelt for a torn meniscus. He asked me where I was from , and said , “why don’t you go back to France, since in your country health care is free. I reported him to Human Resources for being extremely obnoxious. Buyer beware.

I am now eight years post-operative with knee replacement. On a surgery which should have been a couple of hours ended up being six. When Dr. Doppelt was approached by my husband to see how things went he totally ignored my husband and walked away. In what should have been a short hospital stay then to rehab was lengthened due to UTI and the need for two blood transfusions. Do not, I repeat do not use him. Go to New England Baptist, this is the only surgery they do.
