Biography: Dr. Baer is a native of Colorado. He attended Cherry Creek High School and graduated at the top of his class. He went on to attend Harvard University and received his degree in Biology, with honors. While at Harvard, he was awarded the Harvard Scholarship for three consecutive years while maintaining a job and being a four-year varsity athlete. He graduated with honors from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Dr. Baer completed his surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. While completing this 5 year program, he was also a flight physician for MedFlight, a helicopter rescue/transport service. Following his residency program, he completed a fellowship at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, in Gloucester, England. Upon completion of this program, Dr. Baer returned home and has been practicing general surgery in South Denver since 1992. Dr. Baer's professional interests include, gastrointestinal surgery, cancer surgery, breast surgery, hernia surgery, and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He has special interests in endocrine surgery including minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery as well as laparoscopic adrenalectomy. Dr. Baer was the Porter Adventist Hospital Chairman of the Surgery Department for 5 years and President-elect for 3 years. Biography: Dr. Boris Sepesi, MD, FACS is a board-certified surgeon, certified in general surgery and thoracic surgery with extensive expertise and experience in the comprehensive treatment of thoracic and upper gastrointestinal oncological diagnoses, specifically lung cancer, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, chest wall tumors, tracheal and airway tumors, thymomas, thymic carcinomas, mesothelioma and other thoracic oncological diagnoses. His unique training, knowledge and research interests in immunotherapy, targeted therapy, chemotherapy and clinical trials enable him to offer consultation and recommendations for multi-disciplinary perioperative therapy for complex thoracic oncologic diagnoses that require surgical management.From surgical standpoint, Dr. Sepesi is highly experienced in all surgical techniques: minimally invasive thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), robotic assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) as well as complex open surgical techniques for the surgical treatment of thoracic and upper gastrointestinal malignancies. Biography: Dr. Young relocated to Denver in 2005 after completing a two-year surgical oncology fellowship at the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, California. His prior education and training was via general surgery residency at Michigan State University/Grand Rapids, a medical degree at the University of North Dakota, and an undergraduate BA at Concordia College in Moorehead, Minnesota.Dr. Youngs interests include all areas of surgical oncology with emphasis on esophageal, hepatobiliary, gastro-intestinal, melanoma, and sarcomatous disease. He has written, published,and presented nationally and internationally on the surgical treatment of various oncologic diseases. He has conducted basic science research in the field of oncology. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR).

Biography: Dr. DeLine was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Creighton University for both his undergraduate degree as well as his medical degree. While at Creighton, Dr. DeLine received membership to Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit Honor Society. Dr. DeLine has practiced at Porter, Littleton, and Swedish hospitals after finishing his residency in 1989. Dr. DeLine completed his residency in general surgery at St. Josephs Hospital in Denver, Colorado. His professional practice of surgery includes interests in surgery of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands; advanced laparoscopic procedures; and cancer surgery of the breast, GI tract, and skin, including melanoma. He also actively cares for hernias of all types, bowel adhesions, and emergency surgical conditions.Dr. DeLine is married with four children. Biography: Dr. Zihni is a foregut surgeon who joined SurgOne and the Denver Esophageal and Stomach Center in October, 2018. Dr. Zihni has particular interest in esophageal and stomach surgery including anti-reflux surgery, surgery for achalasia, gastric or esophageal cancer, and gastroparesis. He is trained in minimally invasive surgery, and can perform most procedures laparoscopically or endoscopically. Dr Zihni has published extensively on outcomes of minimally invasive surgery, as well as the ergonomics of surgical platforms and educational strategies in surgery.Dr. Zihni was born and raised in Queens, New York. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Stony Brook University with a degree in biochemistry and completed his medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. As a medical student, Dr. Zihni completed an additional year of research as a Doris Duke Fellow at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he studied burn immunology. Dr. Zihni completed A general surgery residency at Washington University in St Louis, where he spent an additional two years of research studying ergonomics of surgical platform, robotic surgical education, and outcomes of foregut surgery. Dr. Zihni went on to complete a fellowship in foregut surgery at The Oregon Clinic in Portland, Oregon before joining Dr. Kurian, another Oregon Clinic graduate, in private practice. In his free time, Dr. Zihni loves reading, playing video games, exploring Colorado and traveling to other destinations, and spending time with his family.?
