Biography: Gregory A. Ward, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. In addition to being a candidate member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, he is licensed in Texas, and Illinois. Prior to his position as the Chairman of the Division of Surgery at Plaza Medical Center, he assisted the Center for Neurological Disorders and completed an internship in general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois and subsequent neurosurgical training at Loyola University Medical Center. He received a fellowship in Peripheral Nerve Injury at Louisiana State University, New Orleans. Dr. Reyna attended medical school at the University of California San Diego and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Dr. Reyna has 20 years' experience and spent 6 years in academic medicine where he diagnosed and treated challenging cases involving all parts of the spine.Dr. Reyna also has extensive experience treating the more typical spine problems seen in adults such as disc herniation, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, and spondylothesis. In his free time, Dr. Reyna enjoys playing racquetball, writing, photography, and spending time with his wife and kids.
