Surgical patients as well as trauma patients often have more than one specialist involved in their care, and it is part of my job to help integrate this team of experts to provide high quality and compassionate care. I take pride in helping patients overcome their surgical issue or injury by obtaining fastidious and effective care.

Biography: Adam Misasi, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons with Ascentist Healthcare. Dr. Misasi earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency in general surgery in Wichita, Kansas. As a general surgeon, Dr. Misasi performs a wide-variety of operations with a minimally-invasive approach, including robot-assisted surgery. He has special interest in disorders that affect the GI tract, including reflux.

Biography: Dr. Smith is a board-certified general surgeon with Independence Surgical Clinic.He is from Central Missouri. He studied biochemistry at the University of Missouri Columbia, then attended medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. While in Denver, Dr. Smith was awarded the Golden Apple Teaching award as a Chief Resident.
