Biography: Jeffry T. Zern, M.D.,FACS,currently serves as Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery for General Surgery at ChristianaCare. He completed a Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship in 1997 and has been practicing at ChristianaCare for the past23 years. His areas of expertise include foregut surgery, particularly surgery for gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatal herniation and achalasia. He also performs biliary surgery, hernia procedures, robotic surgery as well as colon surgery. His practice is currently based at Wilmington Hospital. He has been awarded Top Doctor distinction on nine occasions and has received the teaching award for education of surgical residents. He has presented locally and nationally on Minimally Invasive Surgery topics with recent efforts in Robotic surgical training.

Biography: Livingstone Dore, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. As a general surgeon, Dr. Dore commonly performs abdominal surgeries such as gallbladder removal, appendix removal and hernia repair. His practice includes a full range of general surgery treatments. Dr. Livingstone Dore is expertly trained in the latest laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques, as well as traditional open surgery. Dr. Dore has a specialization in complex GI surgery, including paraesophageal hernia repair and anti-reflux surgery. He completed extensive GI surgical training during his fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. Biography: Jaime Giraldo Arango, M.D., FACS, is a surgeon at Christiana Care Health System specializing in general surgery, critical care, trauma and laparoscopic surgery. He joined Christiana Care following positions as an attending surgeon at regional medical centers associated with integrated health care systems in Iowa. Dr. Giraldo is board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Giraldo earned his medical degree from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and completed a general surgery residency at Instituto de Ciencias de La Salud, Medellin, Colombia. He also completed general surgery residency and fellowships in surgery critical care and acute care surgery at Christiana Care. Dr. Giraldo is a fellow of the American College of Surgery and member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Medical Association and Pan-American Trauma Society. Dr. Giraldo speaks fluent Spanish.

Biography: James I. Tikellis, M.D., joined Christiana Care as a general surgeon most recently from a private practice at Christiana Care Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute. Dr. Tikellis is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of General Surgery. Dr. Tikellis earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He completed his residency in general surgery and fellowship in trauma and critical care medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Society of Breast Surgeons.
