Care Philosophy: I treat patients the way I would want to be treated. I want a surgeon who is always improving their practice, and providing better care. I want a surgeon to respect me and my time, and to recognize that he or she will eventually be the patient.

Care Philosophy: Patient and family centered. I prefer to be overly transparent about expectations and plans prior to surgery, and I like to discuss all potential options including nonsurgical options. I work closely with my cardiology team members and prefer a heart team approach. I am a strong advocate of enhanced recovery after cardiac surgery and push for resources to help patients return to a normal life as quickly as possibly after surgery. I am from Nashville, and this is my home. I strive to push our team to make our systems work to improve the patient experience because cardiac surgery can be a difficult journey for patients and family
