Biography: Michael Levitt, M.D., is a neurosurgeon at the Neurological Surgery Clinic and Cerebrovascular Lab at Harborview. Dr. Levitt is also a UW associate professor of Neurological Surgery and Radiology and an adjunct associate professor of Mechanical Engineering. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS) and of the American Heart Association (FAHA). He is also an Associate Program Director of the Neurological Surgery residency program. Dr. Levitt specializes in minimally invasive treatment of diseases of the brain and spine. He provides microsurgical and endovascular expertise, often in combination, to approach each patient's medical needs. He believes a patient's quality of life is the most important factor in medical care.
