A Florida native and a proud graduate of the University of Florida, he was part of an elite junior medical program through which he earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees with honors by age 23. After serving as Chief Resident at Baptist Health System in Birmingham, AL, he obtained his advanced subspecialty training in Colorectal Surgery at the Colon and Rectal Clinic of Orlando. Dr. Soliman is one of the most recognized colorectal surgeons nationwide in robotic colorectal surgical operations and has written nearly 50 book chapters, scientific abstracts, and manuscripts on this and its related fields. He earned his medical degree at the University of Massachusetts (UM) Medical School in Worcester. Biography: Radhika Smith, MD, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon specializing in treating patients with diseases of the colon, rectum and anus. Dr. Smith earned her medical degree at the University of Missouri and completed her residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then received fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida. Dr. Smith is also dedicated to training the next generation of surgeons. She has served as an assistant professor of colon and rectal surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine and has received numerous teaching awards throughout her career. She has also served as an examiner and question writer for the colorectal surgery qualifying and certifying board examination.

She finished a second residency in general surgery. She completed her colorectal surgery fellowship program at Grant Medical Center, Ohio. She also completed a fellowship in advanced management of rectal cancer at Lankenau Hospital, PA. Dr Essani developed the rectal cancer program and the robotic general and colorectal program at Baylor Scott and White Clinic in Temple, Texas.

Biography: Ashley Althoff, DO, is a colorectal surgeon. Dr. Althoff earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL, and completed a general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, CT. She originally joined AdventHealth in 2023 when she was awarded an ACGME colorectal surgery fellowship, and now joins the organization permanently. She is the author of numerous presentations, research publications and peer-reviewed articles.
