Kevin Potter, D.O. is a board certified general surgeon and joined Abrazo Medical Group in March 2016. He has been appointed Trauma Medical Director of Abrazo Scottsdale Campus. Dr. Potter's expertise includes hepatobiliary, pancreatic surgery and gastrointestinal minimally invasive surgery. He is a member of the American Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract and the American College of Surgeons Dr. Potter received his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Maricopa Medical Center and completed his fellowship in hepatobiliary, pancreatic gastroinestinal minimally invasive surgery at Providence Portland Medical Center in Oregon.

My expertise include all aspects of general surgery, but specifically hernia care. I strive to approach each hernia in a solution based fashion that is patient centered. I see the occurrence of a hernia as a disease and not a simple circumstance. To that end, my initial goal will be to optimize all modifiable risk factors in anticipation of your hernia repair. I do employ state of the art technologies, but use an evidence based approach in their application.
