He has published his in-depth outcomes for colorectal operations including rectal resection following neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer (American Journal of Surgery 2019; 217: 435-6) and the Altemeier procedure for rectal prolapse (Diseases of the Colon & Rectum 2010; 53: 1618-23).

Biography: Dr. Christopher was raised in New Roads, Louisiana. He graduated from The University of the South, Sewanee in 1993 and graduated from Louisiana State University Health Center in Shreveport in 1997. Upon completion of his General Surgery residency, he joined the military and served in the United States Navy from 2004 until 2010. During that time he served on the USS Theodore Roosevelt, deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and served on the USNS Comfort in Haiti after the earthquake in 2010.He has been practicing on the Northshore since 2010.
