Biography: Erik J. Sirulnick, MD FACC FHRS received his medical degree from Brown University in Rhode Island and completed his internship and internal medicine residency training at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He went on to perform his fellowship training in both cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology at Stanford University Medical Center in California. He received the prestigious American Heart Association Western States Affiliate Research Grant to perform his research at Stanford University. Dr Sirulnick has authored several publications that have appeared in both academic medical journals and medical textbooks. Dr Sirulnick is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine, and Cardiac Electrophysiology.After completing his clinical training in 2005, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, to practice cardiovascular medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, first at Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada, Healthcare Partners of Nevada, and from January 2020 has joined Nevada Cardiology Associates. He is as of January 2020 nearing 15 years of clinical practice in Las Vegas, Nevada as an EP cardiologist. His current clinical practice involves the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, the performance of catheter ablation, device implantation and device lead management procedures. Over the past 15 years he has overseen the development of three comprehensive electrophysiology laboratories in Las Vegas, as well as a laser lead extraction program, LARIAT left atrial appendage ligation programs, a Stereotaxis remote navigation program, and he was the first Watchman left atrial appendage occlusion device implanter in Clark County after FDA device approval in 2016. He has performed catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation for over 15 years, including the use of the cryoballoon technology. He also is a MICRA leadless pacemaker implanter.He has provided leadership in a number of clinical research endeavors, and has been the site principal investigator for the aMAZE prospective clinical trial. Dr. Sirulnick is married with three young children. When he is not working, Dr. Sirulnick enjoys long distance running, downhill skiing, and traveling.
